Memories of the ASA

Letter to the CCVVA:

I’m a member of the VVA located at Sedro Woolley, Washington and pleased to send you my donation for $100 for posting the story about the Army Security Agency.  Like Roger Carver I was assigned to ASA and Radio Research at Davis Station and the Tan Son Nhut Airbase from 1967 to 1972.  Here are links to photos of those stationed at Davis Station and the Sancta Maria Orphanage we sponsored.  I’m also including links to photos of me entertaining troops at Fort Ord and at Fort Belvoir in and aboard the USS Mann while en route to Vietnam in 1965 and when I hosted radio shows off-duty at night on FEN Itazuke, Japan in 1969-1970 and later on AFVN Saigon, Vietnam in 1970-1971.  There is also a link to photos of recording artists who performed in the Bay Area from 1961 to 1964.
