Annual chapter dinner and social.

11/12/2018: Veterans Day celebration at Allen Senior Recreation Center.

11/11/2018: Veterans Day CCVVA table at Larkspur at Twin Creeks retirement community.

9/13/2018: Chapter meeting at Spring Creek BBQ. Donna Sedota from Honor Flight DFW was our guest speaker.

8/7/2018: The first Veteran Round Table meeting at Larkspur at Twin Creeks retirement community.

7/17/2018: We presented a certificate of appreciation to the women of St. Brigid’s Needlework Ministry at St. Jude Church in Allen. We also donated $100 to help them purchase more supplies. This hard-working group hand-makes the lap blankets that our chapter gives away to veterans at special events.

7/12/2018: Morris Paulk, 93 year old veteran of World War II, talks about his experiences as a Flight Officer in the Army Air Forces in 1944-45. He was speaking to the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1122, in McKinney, Texas on July 12, 2018. The sound begins about 50 seconds in.

7/12/2018: Veterans Roundtable at Vitality Court assisted living facility in Allen. We presented two lap blankets and a retired flag to 3 World War II veterans.

7/4/2018: Independence Day celebration at Victoria Gardens nursing home in Allen. We brought a cake, gave away 10 military hats, several lap blankets, and a retired flag to veterans of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. The residents loved it!

6/19/2018: Presenting a plaque to Bill Smith in appreciation of his support of our VVA Chapter 1122. Bill is a Navy veteran who served on the USS Ranger which saw action off the coast of Vietnam.

6/9/2018 – 6/10/2018: Fundraiser at Dallas Market Hall.

5/26/2018: Fundraiser at Bill Smith’s Cafe.

5/26/2018: Ross Cemetery Memorial Day Ceremony.

5/6/2018: Fundraiser at Texas Motor Speedway.

3/8/2018: Chapter meeting, McKinney, Texas. Guest speaker was Clonie Villani.

2/20/2018: Collin County Veterans Coalition Meeting, Frisco, Texas.

2/16/2018: WWII Veteran Recognition Program, Belterra Health & Rehabilitation, McKinney, Texas. PFC Elmer Johnson, Army 77th Inf Div & Ranger, and Corporal Raymond Koepke, Army Ordnance, Saipan, were honored.
