Goooood Afternoon,
This Thursday evening starting 5:30 social hour, 6:30 meeting Spring Creek BBQ Restaurant McKinney July Chapter 1122 monthly meeting. Not much time till :Faces of Agent Orange” Town-Hall Meeting. If you haven’t signed up on-line at ccvva.org please do so. Even as a chapter member and hope you are going to help need head count for seating and free lunch. Will have updated information at chapter meeting.
Our membership is growing, new members show up to meeting hoping to meet other veterans . Is other commitments your reason for not attending, what needs to be done to improve attendance ? The “Faces of Agent Orange” Town-Hall is an event the chapter is host to educate and help veterans, something everyone says what we need to be doing. We missed you at the Red White and Boom Parade the 4th of July, thanks to Roger, Raul and Paul we got it together. Great response thru out the parade route and the photo of our float went nation wide on the Faces of Agent Orange face-book site.
I attended a luncheon with Senator Cruz Wednesday afternoon. A small group representing Collin County Veterans were able to arrange a luncheon with the Senator before the Town-Hall meeting held Wednesday night. I was able to spent some one-on-one with the Senator and each member in the group were allow two questions, the meeting quickly went to Veterans healthcare. The Senator stated is was in favor of an improved Veterans Choice program and most of the time was spent discussing that.
